So, I got this problem, GM pwr steering ???? HELP please.
I have a project in the shop. A chopped 51 Merc, originally a 4 door, now a 2 door, on a 1983 Cadillac Deville chassis.
I am putting in a SBC for the customer. It has a powersteering pump with 3 hoses but the Cadillac steering gear only has 2 hoses (one high pressure and one return.
The pump has one high pressure and 2 low pressure hoses. Its the kind that has the filler cap built onto the housing with the pump inside. As far as I know, very standard chevy pump.
Can I eliminate one of these?
As allways, thank you.Couldnt do it without you!!!

Yep, it's a pickup pump. Use either return, plug the other one.
