nova headache
So I bought this 76 nova. Thought it was a 74 till I researched the VIN.
Been working on it. Got it for $400, want it on the road for under $500.
Already spent $60 on a used driveshaft, and some new parts ( wipers, hose )
I have a 78 firebird which the wife wrecked, which is providing a lot of necessary parts. So far it has graciously donated:
transmission
trans cross member
drivers side door mechanism
dash bulbs
radiator
battery
On the 'to do' list is inner fender pass side ( will have to modify ) and possibly nose and rear tail lights. ( yeah, those will take some work ) Tires on the to do list too. Might even see if the brake parts and shocks will swap. Anyone know? 77 firebird to 76 nova ( yeah, the bird is a 78 but the suspension is from a 77)
I have been on a nova forum, begging for parts, no luck. All I can say, is that if I post a pic of a nova with firebird tail lights and nose, it is their fault!Last edited by firebird77clone; 03-11-2009 at 10:07 PM.

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
