    Talking Newbie needed advice

First things first, just got out of tech school for automotives, want to build a street rod, but not enough experience yet. Currently working on a mudder first. I've searched and searched for a good used 4 bolt main small block, bought one off of craigs list from a guy who had promise and showed me recepe for mag fluxing and stuff, sounded good, bought it and sent it to the machine shop were I found it was cracked in the valley. I've been trying to get a hold of the guy for the last three months now and no luck. I recently got a mid 90's tbi 2 bolt main from a friend, got it mag flux and is good. Now here is my questions
1, Is it posible to convert it to carb instead of tbi, wiring and computers isn't my thing.
2, I am going to use it for mudding so, what kind of internals should I be looking at.
3, If posible, what cc carb/intake should I be getting.
4, Will these heads be suitable for the set up I want it for.
5, Heard a lot of talk between 2 and 4 bolt mains, whats the best, should I still be hunting for a 4 bolt main. Not trying to creat a lot of horse, but torque is what I am after.
6, What tranny set up should I be getting into, converters, transfercase and so on.

I will post the casting numbers as soon I get the heads and block back.
    Thanks,
