2" x 2" x 0.125" square tubing between the frame rails.
I did and used exactly what Tech said and mine is plenty strong. Kurt
Thanks guys for replying. Did you tac weld them to the sheet metal
floor. Or did you bolt them to the floor. I guess you could span the
frame rails all the way across the car. And bolt them all the way through
your lower main car frame rails. Tell me what you did?
Thanks again for replying. I'm sorry if this has been covered here
before. I searched it and could not find anything. i don't mean to
be a pain in the butt.

Seats should never (IMO) be bolted just to a sheetmetal floor. As Tech suggested, a 2X2 square tube welded to the frame rails works great. Bolt the seat tracks to this crossmember with holes thru the sheetmetal floor. It's ok to use tabs of at least .250" welded to this crossmember to bolt the seats to. Seat belts should be attached to the same crossmember with .250" (minimum) tabs welded to the same crossmember.
Seats and seat belts bolted to sheetmetal floors are unsafe in an accident. Hard to stay belted in the seat when the bolts rip out of the sheetmetal!!!!!!
