When I took the body off my frame it was real tight on the frame rails.
Now that I have extra thick powder coating on my frame. I'm affraid it's
going to be too tight to go on.

So, what do you want to know?
Do you think I should just force it on. Or should I do some body mods to make it fit.
Any ideas on covering the powder coat so you don't scratch the snot out of it.
When I drop the body on it.
Thanks

Do you have any pictures of you your problem is? Does the body fit on the frame or around the frame?
Is the body fiberglass or steel? Either way, I think you might be able to grind a little off the body to make it fit. If not, you may be able to remove the powdercoating from the part of the frame that is covered. Some epoxy primer should prevent it from rusting. As far as protecting the finish, I would recommend covering it with plastic sheeting.
My question would be, exactly how thick is the powder coating, surely it can't make the body misalignment that bad.
