i am sucking the fuel out of the carb faster then it can be pushed in at the end of the track  i will have to get a high flow seet for the Q-Jet carb i hope after i get the carb fixed and a new convertor nicer tires i can get to 8.5-8.0

Don't worry about impressing anyone but yourself! Good for you! Looks like you were having great fun! I got one word for your video team. TRIPOD!
Thanks for sharing and pat yourself on the back for a good job!
I can't wait for the day when I can do the same with my coupe!

With a good gear, sure would pick up on the 60 ft. times!!!! As for tires, I've had real good luck with the Hoosier's, slicks and the DOT legal slicks!!! Which Q-Jet are you running? A bit more fuel capacity should end the big end problems....Is your fuel pressure holing up on the big end???? Those big blocks really like to suck it down at the top end!!!! For what you're running, some very good times!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Don't worry about going quick and fast. Think about how much more fun it's going to be when you start "going rounds" in elimination. But you need to work really hard on those reaction times or you going to get your lunch handed to you every week.
Consistancy in runs, and getting a good light every time will almost always beat the quicker cars which tend to be inconsistant. At last months West Coast Hot Rod series race at Bakersfield they had some guy in a diesel powered pick-up and he was running 19 second ET's and ran right on his dial-in lap after lap.

Congrats on making it to the track...
Looked like your car was really consistent early then picked up quite a bit later as the air was probably better... Good times for a big street car with stock heads!
keep it up!

Quick car, congrats!!
Tip-Leave on the last yellow, you won't red light. Wait for the green and you get bad RTs. Try to get your RT down to .001, that's a perfect light.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
