Spark Plugs
I have a question on spark plugs. On a stock 350 SB with HEI what should be the gap on the plugs? Autolite AP26 Platinum states .045 that seems a little much? What do you think the gap should be? Thanks

.045 is great. In the olden days those HEI modules wanted .060.
You want enough "jump" to create hot firing. Too much gap could cause "flame out" conditions.
The module usually is the piece that demands what gap use use.
Until it gets into the "blown" alky applications, you need to stay in that .045 range. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

THANKS for the info!
We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
