I'm starting to get ready to do my SB conversion in my s-10, the only thing I haven't figured out yet is fuel pressure. It has an electric fuel pup in the tank already, wiring is not a problem, but my engine is carburated. I'm thinking there will be to muck pressure and flow for the carb to hadle. Can any one give me any helpful hints on what to do.

Put in a pressure reducing valve.
I'd go with a holley red electric pump, it's rated at 7psi, great for your carbed app, the one in the tank will be much higher psi, way to much for a carb.

I have done several S-10 conversions where a fuel pump was mounted in the tank. You will need to install a pressure regulator and set it to about 7 psi, and in addition to that, you will have to be able to have a small continuous flow of fuel back to the tank via the return line so that the fuel pump doesn’t stall. Good luck.
Best thing to do is drop the tank, remove the fuel pump, install a fuel line in place of the fuel pump to reach within 1/4-1/2 inch from the bottom, install an external fuel filter, then an electric fuel pump mounted close to the tank towards the rear of the truck. In an S-10 you can install the pump just ahead of the rear wheel well and in the case of a Jimmy, it has to go behind the wheel well. The reason for mounting it at the rear is because electric fuel pumps do not suck well, but they push great. Thus, if you have it mounted up front, it will not deliver the fuel under hard acceleration times.
If you are planing on running 300 hp plus, I recommend you use Speed Pro part #P4694 which free flows 72 g.p.h. and delivers 7 psi and is good for the 300-400 hp range. For an extra 50% of that cost you can buy Speed Pro pump #P4600HP. It flows 100 gph free flow and puts out 6-8 psi and is good for 500-600 hp. These pumps are by far the quietest pumps especially when compared to Holley pumps, plus they cost less. In either case no regulator is required.

How do I down size my picture? The first time I tried it, it wouldn't allow me to post it, case I am only allowed 400000 bites or something. Mine showed 684 kb, so I scanned my picture again and went with 600 dpi verses 1200 and now it is only 311 kb. What should I do different?

Thats a sweet ride Typhoon, I don't think I will ever launch like that tho, the center cross member at the front is only 2 1/2 inches off the ground. Not much weight transfer there lol
