I need to know a rough value, any help appreciated.
It should be a limited slip. What ratio is it? these numbers are foreign to me.
They should read 3.00 or similar.
It is supposedly off of a 79 full size lincoln.
Off a 1978 or 1979 Lincoln Versaille, in good condition it can fetch $500. Popular with the vintage mustang crowd looking to upgrade their drum brake equipped rear ends.

By the tag, it's a locked 9" with 2.50 gears, if I remember my tags right.
As to value, the gear ratio is wrong for anyplace but Bonneville, it should be a locker. Are the calipers and rotors still good???? Around here, the factory rear disc calipers from a Lincoln are $75.00 exchange from the rebuilder..... I suppose a used locker sight unseen is probably worth a $100.00 gamble, and any 9" is worth $100.00 or so.... IMO, about $200.00 to $250.00 would be tops.
PS--The factory calipers and mounts are just plain stupid heavy if weight is a consideration........
If the rear end is the width you need it is very well worth what ever you have in your pocket
advantages---locker, disc brakes, parking brakes, 31 spline axles
if not an workble width---needs to be shortened, axles replaced or possibly re splined
calipers if rebuildable---or core value are worth a lot
for street driver---gear ratio won't need a overdrive trans

1978 Lincoln Mark Early Model.
The reference that I got from this forum shows WFV as 2.75:1 ratio, however WFV is the axle model and the tag should tell it all. Also wheel flange to wheel flange is 58 1/2" for 77-81 Versailles or 58" on another chart.
WFV = Axle model
7LC = Plant Code
2 L 50 = 2.50 ratio with Traction Lok
9 469A = Date code (year/ month/ week)???????????? I don't understand this date code. Anyone?
