i finaly got my bbc 68 chevelle in the low 10,s on the motor. it was my first car and i had it for 13 years. my goals were almost reached until the car was stolen from a cruise. im just trying to say dont take your stuff for granted no matter how mad you get at times, and if any one is selling a decent 68 or have an leads to a decent one send me a pm im willing to trade a 95 z28 up or down.

Very sorry to hear that, hopefully the police can track it down before it's too late. The nerve of people never ceases to amaze me.
If you are looking for a 68 chevelle my chevelle guy above Columbus has one for sale. It was his sons car and was stolen from the high school parking lot but it was later found and returned.

Wow, that really bites!!!! maybe the clown who stole the Featherlite trailer came buy and loaded your Chevelle in it!!!! Sorry for the joke, but something about 2 thefts from CHR members in one week must have some humor in it someplace!!!!
its been gone since th 2nd week of july i havant been on this site in a while, i was looking to trade it for a camaro or trans am a while back. i drove and met alot of people. now that the car is gone i cant belive i even thought of tading it. i sat down and thought about it and decided to spend savings on a z28. take the chevelle out to a big local cruise and it was gone. i like the z but its not my chevelle. ive talked been and done everything i can now i just hope. i had it wired to a push start under the ign and a battery switch outside the trunk but i never thought anything of it.
i figured it would be in the 1st telephone pole
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to matter what you have wired in or how it's secured, if the bad guys want it bad enough, they'll take it!!!!! Almost starting to look like a guy is gonna have to put some kind of gps tracker in everything he wants to keep!!!!! Dang theives anyway!!!!Quote:

You know I see truck loads of old classic cars all the time heading towards Miami Florida. Never see to many comming back though.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but you gotta tell us more. How in the world was your car stolen from a cruise? Where were you when it happened? Didn't anyone around your car see anything? Just some pieces missing.:confused:
Every cruise I've ever been to there are tons of people around every car at all times, and I am not all that far away from mine generally. How someone could get in a strange car, fire it up, and drive away without a trace just seems very odd.

i dont know im not part of any car clubs and dont hang around alot of people theres not many classic hot roders in there 20s. i was at the event for about 2 hrs. i parked more twoards ordanary cars alittle outside the way i didt enter the car in the event no broken parts or nothing. i got some food and enjoyed if anyone saw or new something i would of found out by know. im just as dumb founded. i didt start this thread looking for answers. it happened, and everyone should keep their eyes open and be carefull with your stuff.
I feel for you, and wasn't questioning the thing happening, just was curious of how something like this could happen. How long after it happened did you discover it gone? Police report, I'm sure, what have they said and done so far?
Were you adequately insured?
Sometimes the police or insurance companies even question whether or not we did our own stealing for insurance fraud. That must have come up being that you were attempting to sell or trade the car right before the theft. Hope they catch the low life, whoever he is.

Damn thats terrible. Sorry your going through this. The stuff people pull is unbelieveable.
Ive been attending some big cruise nights lately, sometimes I get pretty far away from
my car so I can see how this could happen. Think I'll at least be locking my doors & keeping a little better eye on my ride.
Sad, but a good lesson for all owners.
I guess it goes to show that if one was at a show and shine, you should introduce yourself to the owners of the other cars parked next to yours. If you need to make a pit stop, or want to wander around, to ask them to keep an eye on the car for you. Locking it up may also prevent things like shift knobs from disappearing as well..I know car club members, will often park togeather at these events, which can offer additional protection..
