Has any one here done the Ranger axle to narrow a 9 inch or even a 8 inch . Also how much does it narrow considering the Ranger axle is pre length . Thanks

From some past reading what I remember which Is scattered some . The word was a Ranger axle would fit into the older 8s or 9s . Maybe it is a certain year but have heard it done . I think some 8.8s are still 28 spline and that may be the part that works . It's not the center section but the axle that is supposed to be compatible ????

Well guess that will not work for me . Maybe I should re look all that up .
I think what your referencing to is that they use ranger axles on the 8.8 mustangs to convert to 5 lug wheels from four lug, left axle only from the rangers will work, but thats not your case,
