kingpin hole in axle wollered - solutions?
I'm in the early stages of rounding up parts and prepping what I have already to build a T- bucket. today I cleaned the brackets off the front and rear axle assys. The front axle is from a 36 Ford and already has juice brakes installed, so I'll use it. the kingpin bushing are nice and tight, and the pin itself is in good shape, but the left side axle hole lets the pin wobble. it has .020 or so of waller on each end of the hole. so is there a solution I need to be aware of before I take it down to my friendly, but expensive, machine shop and have him install a steel thin wall bushing in it?
Thanks,
Lot
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
