Baer Brake question

I have a BAER brake Pro touring Brake set up that I bought for another car I was building a few years back , a 51 Chev with a fatman f/e and a 9" ford RE,, It has 12 " rotors on the rear and 13 " on front,, and I was using MM2 front spindles,, with 16 " wheels on the front and 17 on the rear

BUT!!! I sold the 51 and kept the brake kit,,

NOW !! I am building a Anglia Thames , and had planned on using the brake set up on it,, both the F/E and R/E has the same mounting as the 51 did,, but I am using 15" wheels on the Thames,, so the rotors are a little too large, and the calapers are a real tight fit to the rim,, I could probably trim a little off the edge of the Calipers,, but before I dio that I was Wondering if I put the rotors on my lathe and cut the edge down about 1/4 " all around,
What would I have to do to the mounts?? cause the mounts would keep the calapers in the same position regardless of how much I cut the rotors down,,

BR - Sounds like the problem that I had with my rear Wilwoods - $900 later - new 17" wheels and tires (I still have the 15"s:CRY:).

Without seeing the mounts, I would guess that you really can't do much. Baer is a pretty well made brake system and if the mount is a forging, which their catalog seems to show, not too much you can do with them. Now, if you were to reverse engineer and make new from weldable plate with new attachment hole locations, you might make then work - but then you might run the caliper into the hat. http://www.baer.com/buy/catalog/file...aw-systems.pdf. Most systems need at least min .125 caliper to wheel clearance.

Thanks Dave.. you are right about Baer ,, they have nice stuff, and it isn't even a reasonable price.. much less cheap..
so I'm not even gonna get them involved,, :eek:

I have a Mill and lathe, so I can probably carve the brackets out of some alum,, I don't need but about 1/4 inch. or tig weld up the holes and drill new ones,,:whacked:
