Do you guys buy O-rings and gasket material in small quantities from anyone? I don't know where to go locally and only find wholesalers on the net. I need some large O-rings (3" and larger) that are fuel and oil resistant as well as gasket material for my gas filter etc.

my advance auto usually has what i need as far a o-rings and gasket material.
at work we order from Mcmaster-carr. Yes, we also keep a kit to make our own orings, but I prefer to keep it for emergencies.

In a city the size of Phoenix you should have a company that makes up hydraulic hoses for construction equipment 'O' rings. As far as gasket material, my last batch came from Car Quest... I got cork as well as liquid impervious. NAPA has it as well. I thoroughly dislike our local chains as too expensive with too many counter people that have no clue unless it fits a particular car(sorry Barb)
i completely agree dave. i only talk to the 2 guys at advanced that know what they are doing. would go else where but they are the only ones in my small town that do not treat me like i am a idiot.
Mc Master - Carr is a good source, but they are a mail order only, I think; they used to have store or stocking locations some years ago, but I did a search, and can't find any; Google McMaster-Carr.

Search up Grainger's Industrial Hardware; they have three stores in Phoenix, one in Gilbert, and one in Tucson.
Also, McFaddenAZ.com for the Mc Fadden-Dale Industrial Hardware in Phoenix; McF-D has more stuff in their stores than you can shake a stick at.
