Choke light and kill switch?
I installed a new carb and choke. While I had it apart I installed a kill switch on the batt wire on the HEI. This is in a 84 silverado. After the kill switch was installed it seemed to work fine but soon the choke light came on . I replaced fuse and checked the choke wire and it has 13.5 volts and the terminal plug. I also checked the ohms on the choke thermostat and it read 2.5 ohms which should be good unless it gets up past 20. Now I cannot figure out why the choke light wont turn off? I also installed a new Alternator yesterday but the light is still on. On the kill switch I installed exactly 24 feet of 12Ga. wire could this be the cause maybe to much resistance in the battery terminal. How could I check this with out cutting the wires and shortening since everything has been soldered.? ThanksFriends dont let friends drive fords!
