GM headlight hi/lo wiring
I'm puting an 89 Caddy steering column in my 52 Ford. It's got the high beam/low beam switch on the column. It's only a momentary switch, it doesn't click on/click off. Does GM make a special relay for this setup? I'll be using the single large sealed beam, so I want to turn off low beam when I switch to high beam. Anybody got a good schematic for this???52 Ford F-1, 327 Chevy, S-10 frame

Should be able to use the stock GM type headlight relay. I believe the center is power..... Hopefully someone else is familiar with the old 3 connection metal case relay and has a more functional memory then mine!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I found the problem. GM uses a mechanical switch and rod that connects to the turn signal lever. It's mounted on the left side of the ignition switch on the column. It looks like a smaller version of the ignition switch. The problem with my switch is that it was removed, so no high/low beam on the column. I can overcome this by installing a conventional foot switch. Anyways, thanks for the help guys.52 Ford F-1, 327 Chevy, S-10 frame

Several years ago we did quite a good trip of USA, and on our trip we got to meet Mike and Christine Frade. We didn't stay long with them, but in that relatively short time we both gained a great...
