Need Latch solution for '34 Street Beast Hood
Just picked up a 34 Coupe Street Beast, sorting it out now, need to figure out how to install some type of hood latch for front.
As near as I can figure, PO simply drove it with a piece of duct tape holding it closed.
This is the hood with each side fixed to bottom, and the passenger side hinged. Driver's side opens...
Thoughts? Anyone already solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

How about Dzus buttons? They're secure and totally unobtrusive.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Looked at those, pretty neat! My only concern is the fabrication of metal brackets which would have to intrude a couple of inches up and into the engine bay.
Called Dan Fink, followed up with an email picture, but they never got back to me. Probably busy.
Called Carolina Customs/ Street rods by Michael, very helpful, probably ordering their set up.
Anyone use them on a Beast?
Thanks!

Solved!
Installed a trunk bear claw latch, with a side mount, and a pull cord... looks & works great!

Did you have any trouble with the bottom of your hood hitting the top of your right side panel? Mine is keeping me from being able to open to hood all the way with the side panels on.
Any help would be awesome.

Several years ago we did quite a good trip of USA, and on our trip we got to meet Mike and Christine Frade. We didn't stay long with them, but in that relatively short time we both gained a great...
