I have the standard repop rubber running board covers, and they have only been on for 3 years. I keep the car stored, but the rubber is already showing signs of failure. What's the best product to use on them to help them last?

Best advice is to keep the more supple by using any product like Meguires, Armorall, or any other you like. The rubber needs to be coated so they don't dry out. Even in a stored garage especially in the winter months, rubber and leather etc, will dry out due to very low humidity in the air.
Up until about 2-3 years ago I would agree but after reading many posts on a couple RV forums, found that most of these products have a silicone emulsions base, (good luck figuring that out !!) and actually tend to dry out and deteriorate rubber products even though they don't appear that way. What I've ended up using is some stuff called Protectant 303. I use it on all my vehicle tires as well as the rubber roof of my trailer.
