You know your day isn't going well when...
...your 92 Toyota Corolla Go Cart chews up its transmission 140 miles away from home!
Kelly Blue Book Value $1500, rebuilt tranny (If anyone in Mariana FL could do it) about $1700 plus taxes, etc...Bye Bye Go Cart.
But my real question is this. I now need to use my '69 Elky as my primary transportation (since I have no other alternates) which is OK, except for one problem.
My tail lights don't work.
Brake lights do, turn signals do, but the tail lights? No way. This was a total rebuild, 69 el camino, 350, R7004, new Painless (hardly) wiring, but the tail lights don't work.
I have replaced the dimmer and the switch, no joy. When I bench test the switch, I don't get any juice on the tail light tang...
One fellow that I spoke with suggested replacing the dimmer again, said that he remembered something about how those two work together (tail lights and dimmer?).
Any ideas about testing/fixing/making it work?
THANKS!!!
