Bearing housing source
I'm still in the early planning stages of a fabrication for a hand crank drive for the stabilizing jacks for my vendor trailer.I'll get some pictures up the next time I am at the shop as to what I want to do.I know this is off the topics on this site, but I thought someone might give me a lead for a source of the pictured bearing holder with either a I.D. bearing of 1/2" or 5/8".

Grainger's site is down.I remember McMaster-Carr for something and kind of remember them somewhere in Roch, but couldn't find it.I found threw searches on the net they are called Pillow block bearings/holders.Tractor supply has those in stock at the local store for me to take a look at.I am going to take a look there to see what they have.Again,I will get some pictures once I get back to the shop to show what I want to design.

I'm sorry I thought you knew they were pillow blocks..There are several types of locking on them set screws, A collar that is turned to tighten on the shaft. depending on how your going to load them. They also make a flange bearing to hold the load vertical as well as horizontal. I use the verticals to hold up antennas so the rotor is not loaded with weight.
