Dash mounted GM ignition/starter switch

Sounds like you need an aftermarket switch - even Advance had one, a Dorman in their HELP display. If not, NAPA. Here's one from Auto Zone just for ID info - Duralast/Ignition Switch (LS483) | AutoZone.comDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Gary,
A quick "google" of "dash mount ignition switch" yielded this universal switch from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Mount-Universa.../dp/B004CO0W1W plus there were fancy ones from Flaming River, and others. Shouldn't be hard to find a switch that'll work for you.Roger

You can run whatever kind of switch you want for your starter as long as you run a relay. (Unless you're looking for a switch that does ignition/start at the same time.)Experience has been a brutal but effective teacher.

Napa/Echlin part numbers for 1981 P30 dash mounted ignition switch etc.
KS6603 = ignition switch
KS6491 = tumbler and keys
EC115 = Elec.connector/pigtail
The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
