Thank you Lynn as that is something that guys don't think of, how will altering the exhaust affect the engine's performance. Looks are important but when one has a few dollars invested in a engine and it has been built by a expert, they would of taken into account what diameter of the primaries, length of primaries and into what size collector. Even the exhaust diameter to the rear of the car and whether it is straight or has curves it can affect the HP and performance of the engine. I remember reading an article years ago on a F1 engine that the engine builders were have trouble with and in the end all they had to do to solve the problem was to add 11 " to the exhaust length. So, yes looks are important on your hot rod but so is performance.Last edited by Whiplash23T; 05-08-2012 at 02:18 PM.
