Do you have a set of instructions by the maker? Off hand I'd say that they ran two smaller inputs instead on one larger gauge wire needed to carry the amps. My harness from EZwire came with a short section of fusible link to protect the fuse block from a dead short burning up everything. I put in a small, two lug terminal strip, ran from the positive battery to one lug with the fusible link, then landed the 12V input from the block on the other lug.
If your harness doesn't have the fusible link, it's a good idea to install a Maxi fuse to protect the wiring...
what size fuse line would you use?
I would put a 40A Maxi Fuse on each of the main (red wires you were wondering about) leads. Might be a bit of overkill, but I sure wouldn't want to burn up my brand new wiring harness (and possibly the whole car and the shop it's in) because I didn't bother with a couple fuses!!!!!!
thanks dave for info, will run 40a fuse line...
See if this digram helps answer your question, notice it gives you the wire size also. I take it that it does not run or turn over. What functions electorally as of now? Do you have any type of digram to follow?
fuse box
Third wire down from the top, system power that would be 12v all the time. Comes off the starter solenoid.

Without knowing what is or is not working that other wire could go several places, brake light switch, horn, ignition switch or alternator.
