I would try a soft copper washer (like a brake crush washer) as long as its not to thick to hamper the proper thread engagement, I would also put a little antisieze on the threads and on your washer as a lubricant that way the fitting will not try to "bite" the washer when tightening which is probably what tore it originally. Best of luck MattWhy is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

X2 on the copper washer..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Measure the thread size and try summit racing. They have a big selection of copper or aluminum crush washers. My Flaming River aluminum rack needed special fittings with o-rings on the OD of the fitting, not crush washers.

Yours looks to be machined flat, so a crush washer fitting may be the correct one to use.

Navy, Check under the fitting for an O-ring recess in the rack, it may be designed for an O-ring as noted above. While I normally just read here, I was compelled to reply because i just saw these in a Speedway Motors catalog. I've been trying to round up all the fittings for a similar job. Like this:
Power Steering Fitting, -6 AN to 14mm-1.5 O-Ring
They make them in different thread sizes. It's All Good

there are some applications where the power steering fittings have an o-ring on the point that seals down at bottom of hole -----

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
