Low Cost HVLP Paint Gun Advise
Many years ago I went through auto body school and was blessed to be one of the top three students, worked at a shop for three months, then had to retire at age 25 because of a long time disability. All I have is a Sharp siphon gun. I have a 60g air compressor but would need a air drier.
In 2001 I built a 66' Ford 427 Shelby Cobra replica, did all the body & paint work, and everything else except for machining the engine. So I do have experience. I don't really need a full size gun to paint what I'm intending to paint. I really don't want or afford a high dollar gun.
I'm wanting to paint my engine, trans etc, chassis, suspention, not the car, and light projects around the house. So I'm looking for real good quality guns at low prices.
By quite amount of users that bought Harbor Freight's guns, like them. When looking at Amazon, there are a lot of manufactures I've never heard of, so it's difficult to to weed out the trash guns.
I'd like to get you guys that have experience, with the lower priced guns.
With my first engine back in 2002 I sanded the iron block smooth and painted it my custom mixed blue body color.
So, what's your thoughts on guns ?

The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
How did you get hooked on cars?
