Need help with brake problems on 40 Ford street rod

Haven't had a street rod in years. Bought a 1940 ford sedan (not a show car) that had disc/drum, under the floorboard with remote booster. Put disc on rear, new master cylinder and new proportioning valve. I cannot get the brakes to bleed and the pedal goes to the floor. It appears that all of the air is out of the system but still not a good pedal. Cannot put mc/booster together because of the way they are mounted (IE remote booster). Put on direction disc valves. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to CHR! You mention a remote booster, which I assume is one that mounts in the trunk with a vacuum line running to it, and your MC feeds the remote booster, which then feeds the front & rear brakes, right? Something like this? - https://techtalk.mpbrakes.com/booste...vacuum-booster

Did you pipe your new MC to the remote booster or not? From that link, it appears that you need a dual diaphragm booster for a disc/jdisc setup. Did you change the remote booster, or are you abandoning the power brake part and piping straight from your new MC to the calipers?

You say that it appears all the air is out of the system. What method are you using for bleeding?

Welcome. And since we are asking questions, are there residual valves in the system?
