startin project

ok new owner of future hotrod i have been into vws for years and with my expanding family decided to get a larger cruise vehicle what i have aquired is a 39 chrysler royal 4dr the car is all original but need pretty much interior and wiring completely redone i would like to make this the family hotrod my question is has anyone done a royal and what should i look out for or do to make my conversion better i have access to a 318 or a 327 and am undecided what to go with i am thinkin the 327 as is in a car and i could use the tranny and rear possibly are there any serios clearance problems or the such i will run into any info or suggestions are welcome like i said am new to this and mechanically can do all the work myself shouldnt be a problem but a little different than a bug thanks matt
