Exhaust tone?
Hi guys.
I'm new here and not sure if this is the place to ask but here goes.
I have a 1952 WillysOverland pick-up with an AMC 360/727 in it. Headers and duals,2 1/2". What I would like is a good deep sounding exhaust. I like the sound of open pipes when idling, that deep gurgling sound. But don't want the rasp of the open pipe after that. I have been on the flowmaster site and listened to the different mufflers and like the original 40 series. But not sure about the idle sound. When you go to the shows and a car comes in at an idle it has that deep gurgling sound similar to open pipes but when opened up has a more refined sound, without the rasp. How can I achieve this sound? I know it's probably a stupid question but I'm asking.
Thanks if you can help me out.
This looks like a really good site with plenty of users. Will have to stop by more now I know it's here.
