A boy and his tools!

One of the side benefits of working on your own cars is it gives an excuse (as if we need one) to buy new toys...........errrrr, tools. Here's one I've seen advertised lately that looks intrigueing for the guy who wants to take a whack (pun intended;) ) at chopping a top, carving out some offending rocker panel, maybe even sectioning his old ride. It's a Craftsman Twin Cutter. Looks to be based on something the size of a 4" grinder. It has counter rotating blades that are supposed to counteract kickback and give a much smoother cut. The only potential limitation I can see right off is the 1 7/8" depth of cut, might be a bit shallow for some B pillars, but then, who says you have to go all the way through on one pass?

Thats kewl I wish I had an extry 180 layin around, but no I had to try to get at much school in before Iwak.
Its a good Idea, would make my cuts almost straight.

Well Drg, the Eagle is boxy enough, you could probably take 2"-3" out of the top of it.:LOL:

I have seen one being demonstrated; very impressive, the things that guy did. Of course, demonstrations are designed to sell the product, and sometimes don't really represent the true practical uses that the item might regularly be put to. But, ---- !!
