Hey Pro, better get Streets enrolled if that's a group therapy deal you go to.
This is a question for those who have already had therapy. If I build a Cobra body Kit and it is designed to use a Corvette chassis as the donor, and then install an EFI Ford 302 IS THAT OK ??
They kicked me out of the first 2 therapy sessions and I am so confused but still build the Cobray-C3 !!
Sounds like a very good plan to me!!!! Keep going to those therapy sessions, maybe after a few more we can get you to lose the Vette chassis, too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Dave S,
I promise to keep going if they'll let me. What is wrong with the vette chassis? Lets me use factory parts - has IRS rear, 4 wheel disc brakes , great geometry, low C of G and EVERY aftermarket race proven suspension piece is a bolt on at very reasonable price to boot! If you love or hate the vette you have to admit it is a great platform to start with. With exception to the vette power assist steering (that sucks ) it is everything everybody else modifies chassis to have, and no chasing parts from across the pond to get Jag - BMW ETC... donor parts from.
I see you spent a few bucks to hang rack n pinion steering and bags on the lead sled Merc. as a small example of making better suited to your needs. BTW. I think the 49 is very cool and color is perfect.
It's Aroma therapy.....
.....Nitro Fumes
.....Laquer Fumes
.....Welding Fumes
.....Tire Smoke Fumes:LOL:   **)
A different aroma for each session. HE HE he

If the 235 six in my 37 chevy p/u dies it will be ford powered,I am too sick of seeing chevy motors in everything so its time for a payback to the chevy people. since all the other vehicles I own are ford products there is no sense in putting a chevy motor in it,I would have to buy a different oil filter and tune up parts and I dont want to do that.
Good idea! I'd love to see that.:DQuote:

Hey Vette, absolutely nothing wrong with the Vette suspension. Just picking at ya about it. If you can get one at a decent price, would definitely be the way to go. I guess I'm just too used to building my own frames. Thanks for the comments on the Merc, I have another one to build this winter.
Careful Dave,
I am a very sensitive kinda guy, you never know when they will find me naked on the roof with a high powered ???? sling shot !
LMAO..
Serious for a few moments. Many people think the vettes are spendy and the collector cars and many vette only parts are. But with production od the 3rd generation vette at over 1/4 MILLION from 68 to 82 there is a bunch of CHEAP cars available. A 76 driver with 100 k miles and showing its years is worth 4 K max and most at about 2500 to 3K. If a project car or a corner banged up its value is say 1k to 1500. at the most.
My Cobray-C3 concept is based on that 1500 $ car. You can then part out the body and wind up with a free donor chassis as unused parts are worth more than purchase price. You need to rebuild that chassis but hell when starting at ZERO cost it makes sense very quick. I sell a Complete race suspension with every item in race dress for 1900 bucks and thats everything.
Hey you guys thinking about Bowtie and Blue Oval swaps, don't forget about the big Cadillacs. Cheap to come by and gobs of torque so you don't need to modify them much to get decent performance. Plus they are lighter than a big block Chevy or Ford. To top it all off you will have a ball with people trying to guess what it is, as long as you don't spoil the fun by putting Cadillac valve covers on it.
