You better be sitting down when I tell ya $700 But I need it for some other work i do the cars are just play when I'm not out side working on my other toys

that what i was thinking i will never have it unles i really want to paint some cars some day or somthing.

any tire store even though there a old wheel they still make them. I don't know I think I would look bad with flames maybe with a different paint combination or a different style of flame I wish I had that flame program

I was thinkin maybe a pearl ghost flame would be cool with the sky blue color as far as the wheels I dont know of any site right off hand but any of your tire stores can get them

Any tire shop, Sears,NTB,etc .etc.etc. can get ya the wheels, mail order is probally not the best option as they are heavy and shipping may cost as much as the wheels....... Just a note, smoothies are sometimes referred to as "chrome reverse" the center caps are called baby moons but those wheels also look good with the dog dish or police cruiser caps, specially the ones with the Ford logo in the center.......

Any other rim suggestions? i think the reverse chrome rims with moon cover will look nice i was thinkin 15x6 in the front 15x8 in the back.Rim and tire suggestions will be appreciated

As someone who lived his mis-spent youth in that era some of the wheels that were popular from about 65 to 70 included Cragar SSs, Keystones, American Torqe Thrust (I personally always prefered the ones with dark centers), and aluminum slots.

Of course stock wheels (body color or black) with baby moon or cop car style dog dish hub caps with or without thin trim rings were also in style.

The 15 X 8, 15 X 6 combnation is what I'm planning on running on my 64. 235/70/15s fit comfortably in the rear wheel wells. You could likely go a little bigger, but not much. Don't go overboard on the front tire width as too wide tends to rub the inner fender wells. Personally I'm looking at 215/75/15 or 225/75/15s for the front.

By the way I currently have a friends 63 1/2 Galaxie in the shop getting a rear end swap and disc brakes.

I'm doing it on a late 1950's era. The car is as I can condure up information and other cars I'v seen in person and on sites like Ebay, the Fleetline was rare in a 4dr in 1951 and it was even rarer to have the Powerglide in a fleetline, let alone 4dr or 2dr, my car is also DeLuxe model, has original 235 6 with powerglide and stock makes 105 Hp and has a comp ratio of 6.6 to 1, the car has 62,000 original miles, I also have original chrome dealer tag that says By westfall, Altamont. The '51 Chevy cars were offered in a 216 w/ 3spd manual or the 235 w/ PG auto. I think that if I changed the motor/ tranny out, I would probably hurt the value because of it's rairity so that's why I'm keeping stock drivetrain except making it a little better w/ the intake and headders, the smithys mufflers because they were popular in the 1950's ( fit my era correct theme ) and the echo can tips for the same reason.

www.dearbornclassics.com has them, you have to order a catalog to get parts, I coulden't find listings online. I just looked at my catalog and a 1963/1964 Galaxie Teardrop Fiberglass hood is 349.95 and the Teardrop bubble hood scoop itself is 119.95.
