1933 Dodge 5w
I have two questions here about the best route to go with suspension for my 33 Dodge. Right now it is on jack stands with no front suspension at all and an old GM rear end under it. Right now I am only interested in making the car driveable as quickly as possible so that I can enjoy it on the road as I take it to each new level.
First the front suspension:
I'm assuming that going with a hard axle vs IFS would be more cost effective but have no idea about what options I have. Should I go new? Would I have better luck finding something that I could use at a salvage yard?
Second, the rear:
All I ever really hear concerning rear ends is that it ought to be a Ford 9". Is this a must? I am not sure where to make my measurements so that I can be sure and get a rear end that is narrow/wide enough for this car.
Thanks for any help...el rat

Str8 axle from a junkyard will work. Rear end, get a 9" Ford if you can find 1, if not try for a Ford Maverick 8" or other 8". measure from backing plate to backingplate for correct width measurement.
