Suspension bushings
Anyone know where I can purchase front suspension components for my 55 Ford 2dr? I'm looking to replace all the wear-ables like bushings, bump stops, sway bar kits, ball joints and coil springs. So far I've come across Dennis Carpenter, Mid-West Early Ford and Kanter Auto. These three places sell OEM type replacements (rubber). Can I get poly-graphite type for this car? Any personal recommendations?

I don't know if they do the older Fords, but I have Energy Suspension bushings on my Shelby, and will be using them on the '57 Chevy we're building. Dennis Carpenter is a good source for various things I've needed for the '65 F100. Mac's Auto Parts has been helpful, and they have great catalogs - www.macsautoparts.com is their URL.
There aren't enough of those mid-fifties Fords out there. Glad to hear of one being built.Tim -

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
