suspension conversion
Hey how are ya? I'm new to the group, i hope I don't look too dumb. I've got a 66 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 289. I'm looking at rebuilding the front suspension and I wondered if I should look at maybe one of the conversion kits from a mustang II with the tubular a-arms and the rack and all the other bells and whistles. I looked at the kit and you have to remove the shock towers and cut on the car some. Is this kind of conversion overkill for a pretty much around town grocery getter? I would probably want to convert to disc brakes later on and maybe dropped spindles. I also don't like the stock power steering set-up all that much. Will cutting the shock towers out and the other mods hurt my cars value very much? Thanks a bunch for your time i really apreciate it.
