Help!!!!!!!
Ok.......here's my question. I have a 31 Ford coupe, and am running the banjo rearend. I want to lower the rear 3-3 1/2 inchs. Does anyone know if a 40 Ford rear spring will fit and lower it that much? I dont want to cut up the crossmember or stuff like that if possable. Or would love to hear any other ideas.
Thanks, DIf I go to sleep........The clown's will eat me!!
Hmmmm.......24 hour's in a day......24 beer's in a case. Coincidence?..... I think not!.

Dhotrod---- Nope, a 40 Ford spring won't work in a model A frame. A model A spring sat directly above the rear axle tubes, while a 40 spring was offset from the top of the axle and attached to the end of the radius rods. The only way I know of to achieve a 3" or 3 1/2" drop is to remove the leaf spring and fabricate a set of coil over shock mounts which attach to the banjo rearend and to the original rear crossmember.---then of course you would have to add a Panhard rod as well.Old guy hot rodder
