mustang rack & pinion measurement
Ok I’m new here and this rig is not a Rod.
After searching the Internet by every search query imaginable I find myself here. You also found yourself here looking for information. Where else?
I could tell you a story about what I have been doing, Short version.
I dumped the 2.6 4 cylinder (which was unbelievably heavy) and installed V-6 with TH350.
The oil pan interfered with steering, which I knew it would.
Was a rear steer. Rotated spindles, lower control arms right to left. Spindles and arm are symmetrical only left and right parts.
Only after looking at Heidts web site http://www.heidts.com/heisinfo.htm
Learning this the right way, I did a mock up.
Not a bit of bump steer and very little caster/camber, at full arch.
Here is what I need to know
Mustang front steer rack & pinion steering, I really need to find out is the measurement on the rack itself, inner tie rod ball to ball measurements.
Not tie rod to tie rod.
Very sad to hear this
