Rear Coil Over Rate ?

Recently Purchased A 31 Ford Coupe With Koni Coil Overs In Rear. The Previous Owner Must Have Loved The Rodeo Because These Springs Are Beating The Death Out Of Me And The Car, Obviously Way To High A Spring. Does Anyone Know What Rate Pound The Springs Should Be For Normal Street Driving? Anybody Ever Try Those Qal Variable Rate Springs? Thanks

200 spring wt., 1400 lbs. rear wt. never used the variable rate spring on a coilover, but i think it would work.

I run QA1 coil overs with 130# springs. I tried 110# but I have to crank them to far up. That is about the softest spring your gonna be able to use. I inquired about the variable rate springs but they don't make them in 14 inch length.

Tried the variables, didn't like them on the fronts. To get the right spring, hit up one of your local dirt trackers and set it on his scales, see what the rear weight on the car is....

I have 150# on my QA1s ride is just right. I still need to play with the compression and rebound on the shocks.
