Rear Shocks
Hello all - Am Building a '46 Ford 2-dr Sedan - Rear end is 10 bolt Chev (86 Camaro) and believe shocks are from same. These are shot and I want to replace them with newer Chrome units (possibly Gas)They are 9 3/4 compressesed and 14 3/4 extended, covered, and eye on each end. Any suggestions as to brand names for new ones? Many Thanks in advance.

The dimensions you post are pretty typical aftermarket hot rod parts. Here's one source for Pete & Jakes rear shocks, note this is not necessarily an endorsement for or against this vendor, it's a source for the Pete & Jakes part number;

BTW, the actual P&J site doesn't give dimensions or prices so that's why I used a dealer site.
Another source is Chassis Engineering for their own shocks: http://www.chassisengineeringinc.com/page73.htmlYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
