Suicide frontend
Can anyone tell me where I can find information on different styles and configurations of suicide front axle suspensions? I'm looking to build a 34 P.U. Ratrod. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, TimQUALITY

Thanks Streets for all the links. Your as fast as always. Still didn't find the answer I needed. My application is to run an i-beam axle in front of the spring. I know that you can weld a tab on the wishbone or hairpin to mount the spring shackle for leaf springs, but is this the best way and location. I have also send some fabricated s.s. brackets that clamp to the hairpins that mount the spring shackle. I didn't really think that welding on the axle was a wise choice even though (or because) I'm a journeyman weldor. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, TimQUALITY

Just a thought. Everyone seems to use a transverse spring, wouldn't it be cool to use a quarter eliptical setup? I plan to use this type of front spring on my next rod project. Just a thought to hwlp your truck stand out.
