Torque converter
Hi All - Am putting a 350/330 crate sbc w/700R4 from an '86 camaro in a 46 ford - question is what stall converter should I use? Can I use the stock converter (motor was a 305 TPI) ? and when installing should I try to partly fill it w/auto tyranny oil or just let the initial start up fill it? And if so how do I partially fill it?
Many Thanks - Charlyg

Yes, your stock converter will work. It will actually stall a little higher with the increased torque of the new motor. Yes, you absolutely should prefill the torque converter.

fill it thru the drive hub you stock stall my not work to good if your truck is lighter than you car if so a bit of stall may help
