TH350 skips 2nd gear

Hi All,

Well, the weather stated getting nice here, so I took the Nova out for a spin. I noticed under hard acceleration the car shifts straight from 1st to 3rd, it skips 2nd gear altogether. Under normal cruising/driving it shifts from 1st-2nd-3rd just fine. Also shifts fine if I shift manually. Its a fresh (under 1000 miles) TH350 by TCI, yes vacuum is hooked up to manifold vacuum. Any ideas whats causing this problem?

Just a thought, but what would be the symptoms of a bad modulator? or bad governor?

Any input is appreciated. Id rather solve this myself before paying the tranny guy to fix it.
