350 SBC transmission?
I have an early 80's 350 SBC, in the process of a rebuild, and I dont know what transmission would be best for it. Id like a 5 speed that has planty of "get up and go" but can still cruise 75 mph on the highway while not over-spinning the RPM's.
First I guess you should know the 350 will be a steet/mild strip pumper, for now, and will most likely be part of a '54' pickup but I have other plans in mind too if that falls through.
Also are there any cross brand tansmissions that will bolt up easily enough without much or any "modifications"?
Thanks

TKO 500 would be an excellent choice. Mike Forte could set you up with a complete swap in unit with the shifter location correct, too!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
