I have a shop that can cut me replacement/modified stainless steel trim for my grille and some interior dash pieces.
What's the best way to fasten it without having to attach studs and drill holes?
Is there some kind of double-sided tape or glue that would work more or less permanently?
Anyone have experience with this?
Some of the factory style trim on doorpanels was just glued on . Other types have metal prongs that you fold over the back of the doorpanel. Studs are the best way to secure them but you can always try to glue them.
I would try to go with the 3M double sided tape if you can.
I like chrome grills and bumpers but I hate chrome molding because it likes to catch dirt and road grime, that in turn causes rust to start. So I have been looking at have the chrome molding air brushed on the sides. It just looks that good here is a example on the site below. Kurt
