And to add, you might under cut just a tad and then ease up to the proper size by sanding back for a nice fit.
I also find it helpful to make a paper/hardboard mockup of the insert and tape it to the dash while in the car and test for exact placement. Look at it not only from the driver seat for how it works around the sight line through the steering wheel, but also walk around the car and look through the windows. And of course, when you get ready to cut, make sure you measure, measure, measure, to make sure it's not skewed.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 03-13-2011 at 06:38 PM.
