anyone have a tr6 laying around condition does not matter
i am looking for a tr6 in any condition just as long as it is possible to fix i will be putting a 283 sbc in the car any info will help

I doubt you'll get 1 cheap, even in unrestored condition, they go about a grand or so, what about an MG or Triumph Spitfire, there a tad more affordable in an unrestored condition. My uncle restored the 1 he has by himself, it's worth around 16k or so.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

well there are reasons for shoosing the ford and reasons for choosing the chevy the ford i have has a front sump oil pan and will have clearence issues. and i already have a 283 that i just built and a jag xke tranny and rear end for the car i also already have the adaptor plate to adapt the jag tranny to the chevy so it would be cheaper for me to use a chevy and i am a GM manHonda Motor= 1.6L

it is all just thoughts and ideas for now i still have to get a car what kind of rear end should i use and what would be the pros and cons of and e-type tranny and rear end i liked the e-type rear end because of the dist brakesHonda Motor= 1.6L

what kind of tranny would u recommend. i want to use my chevy how hard will it be to put that in compared to a Ford the whole custom made oil pan and the problems from the front sump oil pan seems like too much trouble it seems like it would be easier and cheaper to cut a whole in the firewall and build around the distributor what did u do for moter mounts?Honda Motor= 1.6L

Just so you know, a 400 isn't all that much heavier than a 283. The crank is heavier, but the bores are bigger so there is less material in the block. External dimensions are the same. You know, don't hold yourself to a 283 because you think it's light.

How about a 69 MGB GT it has a 12a wankel motor in it now, but would be great with a V8 of any kind. $500.You can never have too many projects!
