New Tradional rod project... on the cheap
Looking for a decent solid car, preferably 2dr. Pre -1960. Does not need to have motor or tranny. Closer to Columbus, OH the better. Don't want to spend over $3K. Want to do low budget trad. rod. Needs to have title.
I like 37-54 chevys
late 30's early 40's plymouth/dodges
28-31 Fords
41-48 Fords
Open to others, but must be adaptable to some old school, gasser, shine-runner style. Let me know what you've got.

Here's a new twist.......
So since this post has been relatively unsuccessful, I thought that I would toss this offer into the ring. I will up the range to $4K, I will also toss in my performance motor, th350 tranny w/ gennie shifter and B&M transpak, and rebuilt Camaro 10-bolt rearend. (Cash+Parts= total value of apprx. $10K)
Here's the conditions, since I was orginally looking for a car to put this drivetrain into, the car that is traded must have a real nice drivetrain setup also. It must be a pre-1958 2 door, it must be solid, it must have a clear title. Must be in or near to Ohio. No junk. Prefer Model A coupes and Tudors. Also like late 30's to mid 40's coupes.
I realize this is out on a limb, but it's close to winter, and I know that inside storage is at a premium for everybody.
BTW- The motor is a fresh build, not even fired yet. I have 98-99% of the receipts and all the orginal boxes for the parts used. Built for use in an open hood car. Here's the details.
Chevy 350 motor (all parts are brand new, never been fired)
1974 4-bolt main block (hot tanked, magna-fluxed, bored, honed)
bored .030 over (355ci)
speed-pro flat top pistons 2valve relief (floating wrist-pin)
speed-pro rings
Skat I-beam connecting rods 5.7" (weight matched +/- 1 gram)
Eagle Cast Crank
Clevite 77 performance bearings
Fel-pro gaskets
72cc heads w/ 1.6 and 2.02 valves, studs and guide plates, and CompCams teflon umbrella seals Built by Jim Daily @ tri-city cylinder in IN. (higher compression than the stock 76cc)
High flow polished ribbed aluminum water pump
Aluminum pulleys
Aluminum timing cover
Blue racer double-roller timing chain
Lunati Voodoo cam 268 dur. (all valvetrain components matched)
Lunati lifters
Lunati valve springs
Blue Racer push rods
Crane roller tip rockers (1.5 ratio)
Melling high volume oil pump
Moroso pump drive shaft
non-bypass oil filter adapter (forces all oil to be filtered)
Powerforce harmonic balancer
Weiand X-celerator intake manifold
Holley 670cfm street avenger carb w/ manual choke
cal-custom style finned valve covers
Finned aluminum oil pan
Finned aluminum fuel pump block-off
Finned Aluminum oil filter cover
Proform one-wire chrome alternator
Aluminum alternator bracket
Aluminum water neck
Be-Cool 180deg high flow thermostat
adjustable aluminum timing pointer
Mallory Uni-lite distributor
Aluminum dizzy hold-down
stainless steel hardware
aluminum handled dipstick
ARP main cap bolts, rod cap bolts, and head bolts

Thanks, but I think I am now looking for something older. Mid-30's to mid-40's Coupe.
I'm working on trading for a car trailer right now, but if it doesn't work out, I'll keep you in mind. Thanks.
