WTB- partially done racer
All right guys, this is going to be slightly vague, or broad I should say.
My uncle is coming back, not planning on working in asia any more and although we probably have a year or two left on the truck he was cruising craigslist and saw a 68' impala with cage, tubbed, motor for 800! we missed it, but it gave him an itch:
he'd like to find a car, I'm guessing up to 1970, mostly ready, meaning we don't have a ton of stuff to do. he said one that just needed him to drop a crate motor in it would be good. I think he's looking for a project somebody started and can't finish or got tired of. not looking high dollar.
anybody have or know of something interesting? narrowed rear end, tubbed with a cage possibly?
we have a line on a 454 with a huffer and duals that needs a rebuild (been sitting for 10 years on a parked boat) but like I said he is also thinking crate.
thanks all.

thanks man, and I just found a dozen listings on ebay that are something fo rhim to look at. I also racked my brain and remembered an awesome 1937 Chevy that my friends dad had in high school (a longish time ago) that had been lengthened to accomodate a chevy 427 with a blower, had 21" wide mickey's wheely bars etc. was absolutely gorgeous, it was my drool car in high school. just called him they got rid of it but I got the license plate (was custom) so going to see about finding somebody to look it up for me.

What you are doing is one of the best ways to get on the track, but be careful you don't buy someone else's deathtrap. If you are not sure what you are looking at safety wise, find some help to evaluate it.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
