Well Tom, I swung by that storage facility and took some pics from a pretty good distance away and it looks like the Merc is a '53 and not a '54 - - - - However, it really doesn't matter because I called the lady at the Storage Facility and she said that the owner DID NOT want to sell the car. She also said that I wasn't the first one to ask about it "Duh" and that it had been sitting outside for several years. He also said that one day he was going to fix it up "Yeah Right". Hope he has lots of Rust Replacer 'cause he's gonna need it. Sorry about the flash in the pan.
