A used cam is normally worth no effort of putting it in because of a couple things, 1 if it has not been stored properly, they can and will warp, I think cams, you stand up just like cranks but I'm not shure. It might not look like the lobes are bad but they could be. If you had your cam reground, the money it cost could buy a new 1 with specs to match your engine, chances are, if the cam was removed from an engine, it is ither a stock cam, damaged in some way or too hot for the engine it was run in.
