thanks. I let my vette sit outside for a few weeks and the battery died . I tried to start it (with a jump) and the car just turns over but won't start what would you suggest? the chevy is new to me I've only delt with fords(mustang) so I'm kinda lost.

you need to find why the battery died .like a draw some where you can check for spark this can be done. pull the coil wire off the dist and set it by something that is steel 1/4 air gap keep way from carb and fuel if no spark. when rolling the engine over look at the condenser .if you left key on the points may be burnt
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
